Lincoln County, WY Safe Streets for All Action Plan

Making Lincoln County Roads Safer for Everyone

Lincoln County is developing a comprehensive road safety plan to help reduce traffic crashes, injuries, and deaths on our local roads.

PROJECT OVERVIEW

What is the Lincoln County SS4A Action Plan?

The Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) program is a federal grant administered by the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT). These grants enable communities to develop action plans to improve road safety in their area. Lincoln County has been awarded an SS4A Grant, and we need your help to make it great.

In the last 10 years in Lincoln County, there have been:

3,733

Traffic Crashes

208

Serious Injury Crashes

56

Fatal Crashes

The Action Plan will look at crash data (information collected about where and when crashes happen), talk with the community, and come up with a list of projects and programs to make our roads safer for everyone -- drivers, pedestrians (people walking), bicyclists, and others. Once finished, the plan will also make Lincoln County eligible to apply for additional federal money to actually build those safety improvements.
